The history of Cartier in New York began in 1909 with the arrival of Pierre Cartier in the city. After a legendary transaction, he purchased the Fifth Avenue Mansion in 1917 in exchange for an extraordinary pearl necklace. Architectural designer Laura Gonzalez refreshed the mansion's interior to create a space that is both inviting and luxurious, transforming a former private home into a landmark.
